Champak, I'm in the same boat as yours. Called the Atlanta number and left a message with my case number. My attorney sent an email this week. I have also asked my employer to do the same. Maybe I'll take your advice and send them an email too.

Frankly I am not Australian and I dont care about the friendship your country has with US. Every Country is sucking up to USA for favourable relationship...
D-E-D's comments - you must be from india and corruption in India is "Trashing" India in my eyes... every country has corruption (you will find Australia and USA on that list as well... granted its all relative) some more and some less. D-E-D comments had a condesending tone for India and that is not cool...

I still don't get it how USCIS works...:( Guess its high time somebody from USCIS writes a book or whitepaper on this subject. Or some post-grad can try writing a thesis on this to get their PhD! :rolleyes:

I doubt it, uscis used up 60k visas in one month just to make sure we dont get any ead, why in the world after doing all this nonsense would they accept our applications.
Well...this is the same argument we gave when we first heard about the July VB rumour in june but no one belived. I hope badluck's lawyer brings us some good luck but this is hard to believe this time.

I will contribute to IV generously(monetory and otherwise) if you help us with the prefiling of EAD for approved 140's, atleast USCIS will get money from us every year and it helps us too.
We dont mind standing last in the queue for another 10 years as long as we have EAD.

Can we check with CIS if they plan to pursue this option (pre-485 step)?
Is there a plan to start a campaign for this? I would be willing to contribute (monetary and effort) if there's such a plan...

Have all those visas made available been used up so far by USCIS? I doubt it.
They are not coming clean on this...first they said they used up 60K visas, now they are saying they worked over wkend to use 25K VISAS...
Its a big scandal....Just to prevent us from filing...

hi i have come to the u.s. on a f2 visa and currently my spouse is doing her OPT.i applied for a driving licence in georgia and i was issued a learners permit based on my I94,visa and letter from social security office denying me a ssn.
i went to the same centre(decatur) for a road test and now they say that we cannot give you a licence because your visa says dependent for a student of wisconsin university,so you should go to wisconsin and get your licence.i went to another dmv centre and after verifying my docs. they let me take the road test and i cleared the test and they asked me to go to the counter to pay money , at that time the person in the counter again asked me for passpoert and i94 and he saw that university of wisconsin stuff on my visa and he said he will not issue a licence and i spoke to the supervisor and he says get a letter from INS ,i showed him my spouse opt card and showed him the words in the card which reads"eligible to work in u.s. upto ----").now he says that is your spouse opt card ,what autorisation do you have to stay in GA ?
has any one come across such a problem?is so kindly advice

So did you buy home theatre after filing 485 or before? Btw, I dont believe there is any relationship to income wrt visa status.
